About

Sheltering in place with this hungry guy (and a two-legged one, too).

Over 11 years I’ve never gotten around to writing the book everyone said I should: “The Cat Who Came to Live With a Food Writer.” Wyl-E is the omnivore with no dilemmas, just like his “dad,” who helped me get over my eating issues and make food my life. That guy, of course, has been nagging me to write “Fixing to Die,” on what I would pass on from my 37 years of eating for a living. I’m grateful to have the two of them not just with me in this time of terrible trouble but thrilled to eat whatever I cook. So as a maybe too-flip way of documenting what we’re going through, here where I feel so fortunate to be atop the food chain, I’m sharing. Which is not like me. . .

(If you see YCSTP, that means you can skip that part. It’s the “recipe.” NFWH? Nothing for Wyl-E to be awake for here.)
